WATCH THE RECAP > > > 2020

Trunk or Treat was a huge success! With 25 trunks, you were a part of making Sunday’s event the biggest group of volunteers this event has ever seen. We gave out 230 bags of candy to children and had hundreds of guests step on the Hennepin grounds for the first time. Your commitment to welcoming guests is an important part of showing Christ’s love to our neighbors.

You should also know that the votes are in, and the trunk voted as our guest favorite is Trunk #22, the Cookie Monster Trunk. This awesome trunk was hosted by the Godfread family.

Thanks again to all who helped make Sunday an amazing community event. These events are such an important opportunity for our church, and you helped make it special.

WATCH NOW > > > Moral Activism:
Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove

Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove is a writer, speaker, and moral activist who weaves his personal journey of transformation with the compelling stories of ordinary people who leaned into the public square with fresh imagination to love in uncommon ways and create transformation in their communities.
On Saturday, January 16, 2021, Hennepin hosted Jonathan for a 90-minute conversation and discussion (via zoom) offering an opportunity to engage with some of the most thoughtful and inspirational voices in progressive faith.
Jonathan has been called “a scribe for the moral movement in America.” His most recent book, Revolution of Values, returns to the heart of the Christian message—to follow Jesus, love our neighbor, bless those who persecute us, and pursue justice on behalf of “the least of these.” He serves on the national steering committee of the Poor People's Campaign and directs The School for Conversion, an education center committed to "making surprising friendships possible."
