Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church has been so central to my life. When I first moved to Minneapolis 37 years ago, I was thrilled to find that the beautiful church with the amazing spire was a Methodist church, which went back to my roots growing up in Dallas.
I have been privileged to attend on Sundays, hearing so many good sermons that have inspired me and helped me get through life. I’ve also made some of the best friends I’ve ever had.
I have also been privileged to work at Hennepin with the most amazing people. In my 42 year career as a graphic designer, it has been by far my favorite job! Getting to know the families – and especially the children – has been so amazing. I’m in awe of the parents that make the effort to get your children to church, knowing you live such busy lives. Your kids are such kind people and I believe it is because of the role model you’ve provided and the investment you’ve made in getting them to church. Yay you!
