Reflections from Pastor Laura Hannah

This past weekend, HAUMC joyfully opened its lot to Pride Festival goers, and we are thrilled to share the success of our fundraiser for LGBTIA inclusion in the United Methodist Church. We raised over six thousand dollars! These funds will support essential trainings, LGBTIA-affirming Vacation Bible School curriculum, and other vital efforts.

Seeing parents with their elementary and middle school children draped in LGBTIA flags or wearing rainbow outfits was heartwarming. Their smiles and gratitude said it all when they heard, “Thank you for supporting LGBTIA inclusion in the Methodist Church,”. They appreciated the convenient parking near Loring Park but were even more excited to know that their contributions will help foster inclusivity within the UMC.

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this cause. Together, we are making a meaningful difference and embodying our commitment to love, inclusion, and community.
