If you listen, you can hear the song of the stars
This Advent season we are opening ourselves to the deep resonance of the birth song of Hope. Prophets foretold the birth of the Prince of Peace. Throughout time, human beings have sought signs of new life and hope. Throughout time, stars have borne witness to the power of hope to transform the sludge of fear. The way you hear the song of the stars is unique in this world.

Advent Devotional
At Hennepin, we cherish the longstanding tradition of crafting and contributing to seasonal devotionals. This year, we set out to reimagine the devotional experience, aiming to seamlessly connect our online community with individuals who prefer a tangible copy in hand. We are thrilled about the innovative format that has emerged!
In this year’s devotional booklet, we’ve introduced a structure that offers a unique type of devotion for each day of the week. Our journey begins on Sundays with a guiding scripture for the week, inviting you to explore it in your favorite translation of the Bible, followed by a centering prayer. Mondays feature inspiring artworks, while Tuesdays present poems crafted specifically for this purpose. Wednesdays showcase reflections from our clergy, followed on Thursday with reflections from congregants on the weekly theme or scripture. Fridays are interactive days, prompting you to meditate on a concept, create a balance, or engage in coloring. Saturdays bring a multimedia experience through QR codes, providing an audio-visual component to further bridge the gap between physical and online spaces.

Accessibility Information:
You are welcome to sit wherever you are comfortable; there is a reserved area for those with disabilities that is open enough to accommodate mobility devices. The balconies are best for those with sound sensitivities (although they are not wheelchair accessible).
Because we have microphones, if you have trouble hearing, it is better to sit in the middle of the Sanctuary, rather than directly in front of the pulpit or lectern.
There is an elevator once you pass through Carlson Hall that provides access to the Sanctuary Level from the East Entry. Otherwise, you can enter directly to the Sanctuary level from the West side of the building on Hennepin/Lyndale Avenue.
Accessible bathrooms are located off Carlson Hall in the Education Wing.
We do not have readers, sound cancelation headphones, blinders, etc. on hand so please remember to bring additional comfort devices that you might need with you.
Please feel free to approach our receptionists or any of the ushers if you have any questions or concerns.
