After pausing for Advent and Christmas, the Hope for Creation class will regather to begin our winter series on Sunday, January 7th. After focusing this fall on the difficult realities of where we find ourselves in a climate-changed world, we will take a contemplative turn over the winter months as we reflect on the spiritual and theological resources of the Christian faith to guide us in deepening our participation with God in the healing of the good creation. For the first half of the winter series, we will read Mark I. Wallace’s When God Was a Bird: Christianity, Animism, and the Re-Enchantment of the World, starting on January 7th with chapter 1.
