Ring of Freedom Installation Viewing & Meditation

Starting Sunday, Aug 13, Tues-Thursday 1-5 pm, Sundays 11:30-1pm
Come experience the Ring of Freedom, a beautiful work of art by DC based artist Stephanie Mercedes and created by melting down a Sig Sauer MCX rifle – the exact rifle used during the Orlando Pulse Club shooting – to 49 liberty bells for the 49 victims who died.
We have collaborated with the artist to create a unique multi-sensory experience including a meditative audio soundscape in combination with specialized lighting. This experience will be open to the public
Tuesday-Thursday, 1-5pm, and Sunday’s after worship (11:30am) until 1pm.
We hope offering this experience can be a source of peace or healing for anyone who may need it, regardless of the reason.
You can stop by to look at the work at any time during our regular business hours-but these specialized hours will allow you to experience the work in the full way the artist intends. The work will be on view in our sanctuary until October.
