Soul Café weaves jazz and poetry, celebrating spirituality, art, and the spontaneity of live improvisation. Soul Café’s 20-year run at Hennepin Church came to an abrupt end in the Spring of 2020. Now, post-pandemic, Soul Café is returning to the Art Gallery on Sunday, October 8, 7-8pm. The jazz ensemble—Steve Blons, guitar­­­­­, Brad Holden, sax, Steven Hobert, piano, Chris Bates, bass—are ready to swing. Poetry and music will dance with the evening’s theme, “Invisible Connections”—the powerful ties that bind us together. It will be a festival of the Spirit.
