Introducing Pastor Cindy McCalmont

We are pleased to announce that Pastor Cindy McCalmont will be the new Chaplain at Hennepin Avenue UMC. Cindy will work 20 hours per week and divide her time between providing direct care to our congregation and developing and supporting our Caring Ministry Team of volunteers.

Cindy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Virginia and a Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School. She is an ordained Methodist minister who has served in several Iowa churches. Cindy has expertise in mental health issues and has trained faith leaders and developed peer mentor programs in this area. Most recently, she served as the spiritual care director of a senior living community.

Cindy’s first day with us will be Monday, February 17th. Please join us in welcoming her to Hennepin Avenue UMC!
