This past Sunday, our congregation celebrated Mother’s Day with a meaningful worship service led by our clergy AND Resident Bishop, Rev. Lanette Plambeck. Her sermon invited us to reflect on the actions taken at the General Conference, asking us to consider, “Now what?” She used a metaphor of a mountain path with a fork in the road, encouraging us to seek God’s guidance. Bishop Plambeck acknowledged the mix of joy and grief that Mother’s Day can bring and assured us of God’s nurturing care. During children’s time, we enjoyed a Q&A session with the Bishop. We also honored mothers and families, and culminated our campaign supporting Emma Norton Services with a successful parking lot fundraiser, reflecting our community’s strength and dedication.
