Hennepin is hosting two amazing learning opportunities this summer! Bill Tipping is leading a class on The Good News of Metanoia, which will explore the presence of metanoia in the teachings of Jesus. Rev. Dr. Christie Neuger and Rev. Dr. Joretta Marshall will lead a class titled Learning to Listen. These learning opportunities are designed to engage and inspire the congregation as we move into the fall and a new program year, emphasizing the importance of welcoming and deep listening to all members of our community.

Hennepin Avenue UMC is excited to announce a series of learning opportunities focused on congregational formation, led by Rev. Dr. Christie Neuger and Rev. Dr. Joretta Marshall. These sessions aim to deepen and broaden the congregation’s ability to care for one another, reinforcing the bonds that unite us as the Body of Christ.
The first session on August 4th will provide an introduction to congregational care, combining presentations with small group discussions. The second session on August 11th will focus on practical methods for offering attention and kindness within the congregation. The final session on August 25th will cater specifically to those interested in lay caregiving, offering more specialized training.
