You can’t know where you are going until you know where you have been.
We invite you to embark on a year-long journey of discovery into the rich history of Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church. It all began 149 years ago when members of one Methodist congregation decided to form a new church: Hennepin Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church.
This year, we’ll share the incredible story of that new congregation: Our Story—a series of events and exhibits that highlight our past while inspiring our future. Explore archival displays, take building tours (including our previous church building), enjoy fine art and music programs, watch documentary videos, and delve into a newly published book.
