We invite you to embark on a year-long journey of discovery into the rich history of Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church. It all began 149 years ago when members of one Methodist congregation decided to form a new church: Hennepin Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church.

This year, we’ll share the incredible story of that new congregation: Our Story—a series of events and exhibits that highlight our past while inspiring our future. Highlights of the Celebration

• Archival Displays: Carlson Hall will showcase six key topics—Worship, Ministers, Education, Art & Music, Mission & Outreach, and Beloved Members.
• Building Tours: Take a closer look at the spaces that have shaped our story, including our historic former church building.
• Interactive Exhibits: In January, larger historical artifacts will be displayed throughout Carlson Hall.
