At Hennepin Ave UMC we believe that all people are gifted and called. We are committed to offering classes and support in order that each and all know welcome and enrichment. John Wesley’s teachings emphasize the concept of "social holiness." This idea suggests that faith is not merely an individual matter but is lived out in the context of a loving and just community. Our membership vows call us to the creation of Beloved Community through “resisting evil, injustice and oppression in whatever forms they present themselves.” (UMC membership vows) We believe that classes, small groups, the arts, and worship provide soul sustenance for life’s journey.
