Dignity Center Volunteer Needs

Joan is retiring and to operate, we have an immediate need for several integral volunteer positions. Training is provided.

Kitchen Supervisor
Wednesdays
8:15-noon

The Dignity Center is seeking a kitchen supervisor for Wednesdays.  The supervisor would arrive around 8:15 to start stocking the dining room and getting ready for the other kitchen volunteers.  The kitchen team makes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, puts together sack lunches, distributes hygiene and home move-in items upon request, and keeps the dining room clean and stocked with coffee, water, juice, bagels, and other basic items.  After The Dignity Center closes at 11:30, the supervisor makes sure the dining room and kitchen are clean and ready for the Friday crew.

Not interested in supervising?
The Dignity Center also is looking for kitchen volunteers!

Kitchen Volunteers
Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays
8:45-11:45am

Not a kitchen person?
The Dignity Center needs a greeter!

Greeter
Wednesdays
9-11:30am

The greeter does just that–greets the guests who ring the bell to come into The Dignity Center, helps orient first-time guests, and makes sure guests sign in for hospitality and/or to speak with an Advocate.

¿Habla Español?
Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays
9:00-11:30am

The Dignity Center has been getting more and more visits from Spanish-speaking people.  We would like to be able to better serve them.  If you speak Spanish and can be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays from 9:00-11:30, The Dignity Center will provide you with the necessary training to be an Advocate for Spanish-speaking guests.
