Welcoming Marcy Frost as the Dignity Center’s New Interim Director

We are delighted to announce that Marcy Frost has been selected as the new Interim Director of the Dignity Center! Marcy follows the able leadership provided by Kevin Schill, who has been the Interim Director for the last eight months.

Marcy brings a treasure of experience and knowledge to this role. Most directly, she is very familiar with the Dignity Center, having served as a volunteer Advocate and Greeter since August 2023. Her favorite role at The Dignity Center has been as a member of the gang hanging around the dining room table.

She has a lifetime of volunteer service and leadership in numerous nonprofit organizations, with multiple roles at Temple Israel–including her current role as co-chair of the Tikkun Olam (“Repairing the World”) committee–and manager of the Temple Israel Sisterhood, the Women of Reform Judaism–and the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.

She has worked as a tutor at North High School, Ramsey County Correctional Facility, and Summit OIC.

In the arena of services to people experiencing homelessness, she is a longtime member of the Align Minneapolis steering committee, having served as the chair and currently as the secretary.

She has served as an Emergency Rental Assistance intake specialist at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.

Marcy has been involved with Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative, having served as the first chair of the Families Moving Forward program, co-chair of The Journey Home fundraiser, and as a member of the committee that shepherded Emerson Village–a deeply affordable housing development in North Minneapolis–from conception to home to 40 families.

She also has a distinguished professional career, graduating with highest honors from the University of Minnesota Law School, and working at leading law firms. She founded The Law Office of Marcy R. Frost, PLLC, in 2013 to assist business clients with employment law matters. She served as a pro bono attorney with Domestic Abuse Legal Advocacy Clinic and as an intake attorney for Volunteer Lawyers Network at The Dignity Center.
