Good Friday
April 3 @ 7:00pm – 8:00pm

At the cross, Jesus speaks words of ultimate surrender and forgiveness: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” This service of Tenebrae, or “Darkness,” is based on a twelfth-century late night service and is an extended meditation on the passion of Christ, inviting us to stand at the foot of the cross and listen deeply to the words spoken in suffering, love, and redemption. With music from G. F. Händel’s Messiah and scripture readings, we will not turn away from the weight of this day but enter into its mystery, trusting that even in darkness, God is at work. Childcare will be provided.
